God Knew Better

Parmalee is a family band from Parmele, North Carolina — the town's name is spelled slightly differently than the band's, and yes, they're named after their tiny hometown of fewer than 500 people.

'God Knew Better' continues Parmalee's signature faith-meets-romance formula, following their multi-week number-one 'Take My Name' which became one of the biggest country love songs of the early 2020s.

Brothers Matt and Scott Thomas along with cousin Barry Knox have kept Parmalee's lineup remarkably stable for over two decades — rare longevity in a genre where bands frequently shuffle members.
