Better That Way

Charles Wesley Godwin hails from Morgantown, West Virginia, and his music is deeply rooted in the Appalachian storytelling tradition — a sound that sets him apart from the Nashville mainstream.

Godwin signed with John Pardi's label imprint and gained significant momentum through word-of-mouth and streaming, building a devoted grassroots fanbase before landing major country radio attention.

'Better That Way' continues Godwin's signature style of raw emotional narrative, drawing comparisons to the red dirt and Americana movements rather than polished Nashville pop-country.
